Mission Statement:
Fresh Start Life Groups are support and recovery groups of Freshwater Community Church. We exist to help REACH individuals during times of need. Those that serve in these groups strive to CONNECT people with other Christians or services that are relevant to their situation. God asks us to serve others and by doing so we will GROW in our faith. Through service we are challenged to DISCOVER our ministry and HONOR God with our life.
Specially designed materials, approved by our pastoral staff are your tools for successful life skills. Application of these life skills will make for a fresh start in life, giving you the ability to fully enjoy your freedom in Christ and take hold of God's promises for you.

"...honest disciples who admit they are scalawags."
In The Ragamuffin Gospel written by Brennan Manning, he defines Ragamuffins as "the burdened, the wobbly and weak-kneed, the inconsistent, unsteady disciples... the smart people who know they are stupid... the honest disciples who admit they are scalawags".
The Rabbi's Ragamuffins is a small group who will be challenged to grow in submission to Jesus' teachings and grow in healthy relationship to each other: all within a dynamic "closed group" setting after the first week.
The Wounded Heart: Victims of Childhood Sexual Abuse
https://freshwaterchurch.ctsmembe...me-ctrl.do?view=3&grpId=25492
Signe Pearson - signepearson@yahoo.com
The Wounded Heart is an intensely personal and specific look at this most "soul deadening" form of abuse.
It's personal because it may be affecting you, your spouse, a close friend or neighbor, or someone you know well at church, and it's specific because it goes well beyond the general issues and solutions discussed in other books.
Dr. Allender's book reaches deep into the wounded heart of someone you know, exploring the secret lament of the soul damaged by sexual abuse-and laying hold of the hope buried there by the One whose unstained image we all bear.
